If you can think it, you can be it...

It's a shame that many of us are still leaving our parents dream till now. African parents, unfortunately because of their struggles, hustles and where they're coming from, paint the picture that their dreams are ours.

Although I haven't been privileged to travel everywhere in the world, I'm a tourist by movies😂
And believe me, it's not only African parents but parents all over the world!

Some of our parents wanted to be Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers and what have you but because of one thing or the other, they fell short...

Now, you came! And one thing you should know is 'You're their gift, not their re-incarnate!'

I've heard of parents who chose courses for their children without their opinion. And while chosing courses for your kids isn't a bad thing, doing so without their opinion is!

Now these children grow up and because it's a dream they'll never dream, they lack continuation! Fulfillment becomes a luxury as they try to suppress their dreams.

Dreams are our heart engine. You can't pretend to be in oblivion of your dreams forever and who knows? Maybe their parents did the same for them so they do it to their kids too...

I've heard of Doctors that were meant to be musicians, Engineers that were to be actors and so on....

These parents just look at the 'irrelevance' of a particular field and conclude that their children should be somewhere else! 

So you! Are you living your parents life or yours? It's a question I have to ask because before you see a youth of these days live out their dream? You'll have to sweat to find a dozen of them!

Do you not feel fulfilled with your current field? Do you feel you'll have done better in other fields but for your parents?

Nobody is praying to die before their parents. Our parents will live long and then go before us. Amen and Amen. But when they go?

Will you be among the parents that will force their dream on their kids because you couldn't fulfill yours? 

You can retrace your step back to when you were little. When dream was something we felt in our heart. We see soldiers and we see ourselves shooting gun. We see nurses and we want to be them...and other professions too.

What is your dream? What did you wish you can be? 

The bible says in Proverbs  23:7  For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he...

So, If you can think it, you can be it!
