...And he'll beat the hell out of me. My dad would...

My dad used to be a headmaster. It was crazy because unlike the normal wave of where I grew up; supporting your children when you had the power too... Whether wrong or right, my parents were the exact opposite!

So I had one teacher like that... Over sabi man. He was the type of person that would make sure my dad was almost reaching my class and then ask me questions.

Innocent me! Me that book no concern. Me that no send education. I only wanted to play (don't play! I'm a genius o😂🤭) At that time, book and education was the least of my concern but unfortunately for me, it was and is still my family's heritage!🤭😂

So this man would ask me questions and yes. I didn't fall your hand! I failed them every damned time he asked. So my dad would wait at the window and watch me, fear rising like a great soldier in my heart, my body trembling and my hands sweaty.

The man would then call my name; 'Grateful, come out'
I knew it was over but I'll still walk majestically to meet him (I've always been a queen🤭😂)

And he'll beat the hell out of me. My dad would walk into the class and as per he wants to set an example, he'll beat the hell inside me and take it out back.

So most times when they were done reducing my steeze😂, I'll regain my composure and rule the class again😂

Looking back at that time, I had an untapped power to make people listen to me. It just happened! Somehow! A discussion would be ongoing and when I talk every damn body shuts up and listens!

I didn't know about it till I grew up. It was something only few people noticed... That I command respect wherever I go!

I'm saying this because of you who don't know you have untapped powers. For some, it's the gift of knowledge; you just spit out something that's going on and you really didn't know about it! For others you can sing, others it's something most invisible!

Look into the mirror! Who do you see? I see a girl who hasn't even use half of her powers! A boy who doesn't know what he has!

And time is going!!!

The bible says in Proverbs 18 vs16;  A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

What is that thing God has put in you? I'm asking you again, What is it that he put in you?

Stand up today and make a pledge! I believe you can do it. You can be what God says you're and not what you're seeing in yourself right now.

Stand up and shine! It's your time to own the room!
With love,
Greatful-lily
