When it's our lives being judged by the footprints and yardsticks of people. By those who weren't there the seconds it started and those who won't be there at the end, we find ourselves wondering about these same people we joined...
When I was little, I thought life is cool. My dad will wake me, bathe me and mom will force me to eat... I could afford to eat children snacks too and less I forget, run around naked in the rain😫
I always had big eye balls. Although they've significantly adjusted to my face, it still shows when I wake up every now and then...(I find it cute tho😂). My mom said her friend insulted her because of my eye. That didn't sound so bad because she bore the insult on my behalf...
But as I clocked 9 years, my hair started turning white. Not grey! Pure white! It was disheartening as my mom would sit me down and pull it out. Do you know how many times I had to bear the judgments of people until now?
Some said it's deformity. Some said it's lack of nutrients in my body. Others called me grand mother and so on. It was bad hearing these as a child but somehow, I owned it!
'Do you know having 'white' hair means brilliance and high intelligent? Do you know it means I'll be outrageously wealthy too?... that's to show you every coin has two sides and you can choose your side!
I have noticed it! The best way to fight what people say about you or judge you with is to show them that you're aware of it and you can own up to it! People fear confident people. If your case is like mine, look them in the eye and say 'you should kneel when you greet me! I'm your ancestor!'... and suddenly cat gets their tongues!
People judge because they think they could have done it better if they were in your shoes but the true fact remains that only the shoe owner know exactly where it bites.
I'm not saying prostitution is good but if you know what these girls use the money for, you'll pray for them to see clients! Although, that doesn't justify their actions but you can't be sure you would have done better if you face half of what they're facing...
Even the bible says we shouldn't judge and that's because you can't be so sure of yourself? 'The heart is so wicked? Who can know it? Only God knows your next line of action...
So next time when others judge, don't join them! You could be the person you judged tomorrow! Instead, ask for divine grace for the person and yourself.. You might be needing that prayer later!!!
With Love,
